What to expect during a Stylized Session
Creative Collaboration
If you’ve found yourself on this page, you probably have some cool ideas that you need help bringing to life. When you book a styled session, you become a very important part of the creative process. Regardless of how simple or complex, we’ll put our creative heads together and come up with a concept that is uniquely tailored to your style, personality and vision.
Open Communication
I typically respond to initial inquiries within 24-48 hours via email. From there, we’ll set up a time to talk more at length about your ideas. (In-person or virtual meetings are recommended.) Once we have an outline of our concept, I’ll get to work on the details - keeping you informed every step of the way.
A Relaxed and Safe Environment
My top priority is to make sure you’re feeling your best and that can’t happen if there isn’t trust. You will never be asked to do anything you’re not comfortable with, nor will you be asked to put your physical safety at risk for the sake of a shot. Everything we do will be clearly discussed prior to your session. My goal is always to listen, be flexible and make sure you’re comfortable and confident in front of the camera.
A Body-Positive Philosophy
Windett Photography is inclusive, shame-free and body positive. So, it’s important to me that the integrity of your natural beauty is kept in tact. Therefore, post processing will include stylistic edits and light skin touch-ups where appropriate, but I will not be making alterations on size, shape or physical appearance. Your final product will be a beautiful high resolution online gallery of your favorite images.

Anyone! These sessions can be just for fun, a personal pick-me-up, modeling portfolios, or even for small business owners looking for a new creative headshot or website material. These are not meant, however, for larger commercial purposes.

Yes! However, I always like to stipulate that my style tends to lean away from the classic boudoir look that you might be used to seeing. I prefer to collaborate one-on-one and come up with a concept that is unique for you and not a direct emulation of someone else’s work.

Not at all! This seems to be a question that is a difficult one for some clients to approach because they don’t want to “seem weird” by asking. But there is absolutely nothing weird about celebrating your body! Feel free to ask or make a note of it in your booking questionnaire and we’ll discuss the details during our planning meeting. And if you change your mind, I won’t bring it up again unless you do. You will never be pressured to do anything you’re not comfortable with.

Props are usually approached on a case by case basis depending on what’s required. If prop acquisition is minimal or we need a backdrop that I’ll use again for other sessions, I’m happy to cover the costs. But if we’re looking at something more elaborate, there may be additional fees. All creative portrait sessions have custom pricing, so you will get an estimate prior to signing your contract!

Yes! For all sessions, an initial payment is required at the time of signing your contract. From there, installments can be made flexible based on timing and budget, so long as the final payment is made prior to the date of our session.
